Lao PDR has established the 217,400-hectare Nam Mouane–Phou Chomvoy National Park in Bolikhamxay Province, strengthening protection of one of the Annamite Mountains’ most important remaining forest landscapes and creating an important transboundary conservation corridor with Viet Nam.
